Thor, along with all the other Aesir of Norse mythology, lived in Asgard (Home of the gods). His own palace there was named Bilskirnir. Asgard was one of nine realms created by the gods and was linked via the magical rainbow bridge, Bifrost to Midgard (middle earth) Thor also spent much time in Jotunheim, although he did not live there. He would make forays into the home of the Giants for sport. As the strongest of the gods he alone was able to contest the giants in single combat, and this he enjoyed greatly.
