While driving at night if you notice your headlights flicker on and off along with your electrical lights in your dash and maybe stereo equipment.

Usually means your distributor is going out.
The distributor cap is important to the performance of the car's engine. Some symptoms of a bad distributor cap are stalling, backfiring, shaking, and a high pitched squealing noise.
where does the hot wire come from going to the distributor on a chevy 350
You can become a distributor of Hindustan Unilever by going onto their careers website.
Check the ignition coil or the "pick up" located inside the distributor
A distributor going out typically does not make a popping or sizzling sound. Instead, you may experience symptoms like difficulty starting the engine, misfiring, stalling, or a rough idle. If you hear popping or sizzling sounds, it could indicate a different issue such as a problem with the exhaust system or ignition components.
A typical distributor will have constant power. As the rotor is turned, the power is sent to the spark plugs.
you remove the wires that are going to the distributor and look where the distributor meets the intake there is a little plate the rests against the distributor and it has a bolt in it remove that and pull distributor up and out and u have to remove wires that go to the plugs as well
The spark travels from the coil to the distributor then from the distributor to the plugs. So if you have spark going into the distributor but not coming out to the plugs, I would blame the distributor cap and rotor being at fault.
