The only certain way to find out how many weeks pregnant you are is to have an ultrasound scan. Some women can confuse 'spotting' (very light bleeding) with a period after fertilisation. Remember, fertilisation cannot occur between menstruation and ovulation (about day 14). Between 7 and 14 days after FERTILISATION, the fertilised embryo will begin implanting into the walls of uterus. As some blood vessels are eroded this can cause some light bleeding, but it is not a period. Consult your Doctor Who can discuss this with you further.
