First answer: Take a lot of paper towels and pat him as much as you can. Use more paper towels until no more oil will be absorbed by the paper towels. Now just wait. In time the oil will be absorbed by the bunnys skin, it is not harmful. And he smells good, doesn't he?

Second answer -- disagreement!!

Unfortunately, baby oil IS harmful to rabbits.

Rabbits, like cats, groom themselves by licking their fur, which means that anything on the rabbit's fur will likely end up inside the rabbit's belly. Rabbits have very sensitive digestive systems, and many things can make them seriously ill, including baby oil. Because rabbits are so small, it doesn't take much of something bad to make them sick.

The "dry bath" method is very useful in all sorts of situations where something dangerous is on your rabbit's fur (including baby oil). Keep baby cornstarch powder in your first aid kit. Do not use cornstarch powder from the baking aisle, or baby powder, or anything with talc in it, or a "leave-in shampoo" from the store: just use baby cornstarch powder, from the baby aisle in the drugstore.

Sit down on the floor with a towel spread in front of you. Hold your bunny still on the towel. It's really useful to have two people, one to hold the rabbit and one to give the bath. Dump some cornstarch on the messy area and rub it into the fur, down to the skin. It will absorb a lot more oil than paper towels, and then you can easily brush it away (you can use a soft-bristled baby brush to gently pat the fur until it's all gone).

If the dry bath isn't working, you should go to the vet. You can't just let your rabbit lick up all the baby oil. If you can't go to the vet's, you'll have to wash your rabbit.
