He (or she) may be just playing head games. Sometimes control freaks will pull this. They think it will make you weak, and then they have you right where they want you, since you will be too scared to face the pain of rejection again. Or it could be your ex just wants to move on and thinks that no contact is best. He/she may be the type of person who thinks that when something has ended there is no looking back.
