Some historians claimed that the island of Guanahni was in the Bahamas, but the absurd happened: they renamed an island already called Watling into Guanahni, to claim later that Christopher Columbus had been first there. But the fact remains that if indeed he had been there his body would have put to rest there in the Bahamas. History tells that it was put to rest in Santo Domingo for a reason: he first landed there.
