Deism is the belief that everything around you is evidence that some kind of deity must exist but God does notinterferewith human affairs, basicallyGod set everything in motion and lets the world play out on it's own. Nihilism is the belief that ultimately life has no objective meaning or value. if one was to believe that God set the world in motion and abandoned it it could suggest that life itself really is meaningless and nothing can be known for sure.
