Sometimes people do not think rationally, they are only thinking about themselves and the pain they have or want to cause others. Some just simply don't value life for whatever reason. Others feel like its the only way out before they become a burden on others. The point is, there are several reasons but that doesnt make it an OK solution. I think for everyone that wants to kill themselves, perhaps there is another person out there who could convince them not to. Anyone who feels like they want to commit suicide should seek help via loved ones and/or counseling.

Depends a lot on ones society. America, Europe and most Western countries feel that suicide is a crime, at least in the moral or religious sense. Other cultures however aren't in agreement. In some cultures, suicide is a way of cleansing oneself of shame or wrong-doing, but even there, it's a complex issue.

Consider finding an AA/NA/12-step pgm if you have no one to talk to...at the 1st meeting you will find someone to talk to you I Promise (PS-you don't need to be alcoholic to show up at a 12-step mtg) they also have 24hr helplines, easily googled. There is no proof in the bible anywhere. Whoever said that is not speaking the bible correctly and if they want to believe that than that is OK, but not the truth. if you asked Jesus into your heart than you are most likely not going to hell. but, that does not give you the right to do anything you want and repent later, because in that you could loose your faith. That does not give you the right to commit suicide, because suicide is a selfish thing to do. Just think about all of the grief that you will give your friends and family.
