It is not uncommon to find Emo boys with pierced eyebrows, ear studs and pieced belly buttons. While for some, it may be just a passing phase, for many, it becomes a part of life. The Emo scene has received a lot of flak from critics off late and is not too welcome among parents too. The next splash of Emo wave saw the singers penning down more emotional lyrics. A large number of teenagers and adolescents identified themselves with this fast growing music scene. They started aping these singers. This culture did not restrict itself to the males alone. Even the fairer sex sports it. They have unruly hair and wear tight fitting jeans again, usually faded or torn at certain parts. They are dressed in such a way so as to show their rebellion to some existing societal norms. Usually Emo boys and girls are rebels at heart.
