Our allegiance belongs to Jehovah alone, and to his government under the rulership of his Son Jesus Christ. We obey the laws that do not conflict with God's laws, we pay our taxes, but we consider the salute of the flag as an act of worship, and we must worship Jehovah alone. Our stand is based on Scriptures, such as the following: 1 Corinthians 10:14: "Flee from idolatry." (Also Exodus 20:4, 5) 1 John 5:21: "Little children, guard yourselves from idols." Luke 4:8: "In reply Jesus said to him: 'It is written, "It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service."'" See also Daniel 3:1-28.

Why were the Jehovah's witnesses persecuted during the holocaust?
In many countries Jehovah's Witnesses suffered a great persecution during WW2. Perhaps the greatest persecution occurred in Germany and the Soviet Union. In Germany Jehovah's Witnesses (back then called Bible students - Bibelforscher in German) refused to support Hitler, because they always stay neutral on political matters. This led to their throwing into concentration camps and as a result some of them died. Unlike Jews if a Witness wanted to be released from a concentration camp, he simply had to sign a document stating he no longer want to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Very few did this. In Russia the situation was similar. Due to their neutrality Jehovah's Witnesses were persecuted and thrown into prisons. The same happened in other countries as well.
Why did Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to raise their hand in the hail Hitler salute?
You must understand that the German word "heil" is not the same as the English word "hail." It literally means "welfare" (as in safety). If we were to say "Heil Hitler," it would mean that we were ascribing salvation to him instead of to Jehovah. The Bible at Exodus chapter 20 tells us that God demands "exclusive devotion." This means that God will not surrender the worship that rightly belongs to Him, to any other person or thing. Since, as previously stated, the words "heil Hitler" means "salvation comes from Hitler," it goes in direct contrast to the word of God, which states that "Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb."(Revelation 7:10)

There is not one directive in the history of the Watchtower that has ever instructed its Jehovah's Witnesses readers to [quote]"refuse life to their premature babies and children" Jehovah's Witnesses seek the best medical care for their loved ones and have no prohibition on meidcal procedures or seeking help from health care practitioners.This is a ridiculous attempt to further spread lies about Jehovah's Witnesses by stating allegations with no facts. Anyone who knows Jehovah's Witnesses knows the questioner is not speaking truth. This lie in question form is unworthy of an answer.They aren't "obligated" to do so. Not quite sure what the question means. Jehovah is God. If you have dedicated your life to Jehovah, you'd have to speak with Him, and tell him that you no longer will lead a dedicated life. But he will hold you to your dedication. He has no provision for 'UN-" dedicating yourself from Him. He is God. But if you wish to leave Jehovah's Witnesses - - you can just up-and-leave. No one will stop you. If on the other hand you commit a serious Bible offense; and if you refuse to change; then Jehovah's Witnesses will 'disfellowship' you from their fellowship. But you can always apply for 'reinstatement' after you have stopped the Bible offence.

Do Jehovah's Witnesses send congratulation cards?
Yes, as long as the occasion is not related to some celebration that we do not participate in. We do send cards of congratulations for occasions such as weddings, birth of a new baby, graduation, etc.
Why can't Jehovah's Witnesses attend school assemblies?
Most schools are closed on holidays. Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate holidays with pagan origins so some parents may chose to keep their children at home on specific days if they feel the class activities will be centered on such celebrations and no alternatives offered.
Has there ever been a Jehovah's Witness who has won their right to refuse blood?
Not sure if I understand the question correctly but surely any adult Jehovah's Witness or adult non Jehovah's Witness has the right to refuse a blood transfusion. If not then it means that someone else has the right to force a medical procedure on another.
