Brom didn't want Eragon to go to the Varden because he believed Eragon was not ready for the dangers he would face there. He also wanted to protect Eragon from Galbatorix's forces finding and harming him. Additionally, Brom wanted to keep Eragon's identity as a dragon rider hidden until the appropriate time.

Describe the main characters in Eragon?

Eragon, Saphira, Brom, Murtagh, and Arya are important characters. Eragon and Saphira are technically the main protagonists, and the Shade is the main antagonist (since Galbatorix is only indirectly present in the story).

Who is Eragon's mother?

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD FOT THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET READ "ELDEST" AND/OR "BRISINGR"Selena, or the Black Hand. She originally fell in love with Morzan (the rider who betrayed the others) and would do anything for him to gain his love. He saw this as an advantage because not many others have such faithful and reliable servants, and used her as an assassin, where she used the title of the Black Hand. Eventually she gave birth to Murtagh with Morzan as his father. As Murtagh tells Eragon in the first book, Morzan threw his sword at him when he was just a small child. When Brom infiltrated Morzan's castle as a servant, he met and fell in love with Selena. They kept their relationship a secret, and as soon as Selena found out that she was pregnant with Brom's child, she left for her hometown of Carvahall to stay with her brother, Garrow. She did not want the pain that Murtagh went through at the mercy of Morzan's sword to also happen to Eragon. So he was left there, and (as you may or may not know,) he grew up and by some bizarre act of fate, magic, and circumstance, he was given a dragon; and with that, the responsibilities of a dragon rider. Now, I could go on and on about the ties between Eragon and Brom, Saphira and Thorn, and how Saphira's egg came to be in Eragon's possession, but that's not the point. At the end of the second book, Eldest Murtagh tells Eragon that they're brothers. Now, that's true; to some extent. Murtagh and Eragon are HALF-brothers. And in the third book of Brisingr, it is finally revealed that Brom is Eragon's father, and he is given a portrait-like thing of his mother.

What is eragon?

Eragon is a fictional teenage boy, the protagonist from the Inheritance Cycle, a series of books by Christopher Paolini. He was born and raised in the village of Carvahall, near the Spine. His mother is already dead. His cousin's father, Garrow, and his cousin, Roran, live with him. While hunting in the Spine, he finds a blue dragon egg. The dragon hatches and he keeps it in the forest near him. Once the dragon starts talking to him (telepathically) he names the dragon Sapphira. He becomes a dragon rider and with Brom leaves Carvahall before the evil King of the land he lives in (Alagaesia) can capture him and force him to serve him. Brom dies later on. Eragon joins the Varden and gets training from the elves who live in the north. He fights and kills the Evil King and frees Alagasia.

Why did Eragon hide Saphira from Garrow and Roran?

My guess would be that Eragon thought that if he showed him Saphira then they wouldn't want to have to do anything with her so they would tell Eragon to get rid of her.

Will Eragon die?

This question has been asked by many Eragon trilogy fans across the world. Nobody knows, except Chris. I personally believe that He will not die. Chris usually makes a main character die in each book, but i dond't think he'll make Eragon, or even Saphira die. He might make Murtagh die..(Wiped Tear). I hope not... He's my favorite character. I hope Galbatorix dies too. I hope Murtagh and Thorn will finally be freed from the wrath of galbatorix's cure of knowing their true name, and will finally be able to join the Varden, and do whatever they want.

Who is Murtagh in Eragon?

Murtagh is a character in the "Inheritance Cycle" series by Christopher Paolini. He is initially introduced as the son of the main antagonist, Morzan, and later revealed to be Eragon's half-brother. Murtagh plays a complex role throughout the series, often torn between his loyalties and facing internal struggles.

What happens to the child Eragon blessed in the book 'Eragon'?

the series isn't over, dear. paolini probably won't finish it until 2010 or later. the 3rd (brisingr) came out earlier. by the end of eldest, though (the second book), eragon is accepted by the elves as one of their own. arya is still friends, but refuses to let him love her. If you really want to know, read the books.

How is the start of Eragon?

Eragon is the first book in the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, who began writing at the age of 15. After writing the first draft for a year, he spent a second year rewriting it and fleshing out the story and characters.Paolini's parents saw the final manuscript and decided to self-publish Eragon. Paolini spent a year traveling around the United States promoting the novel. By chance, the book was discovered by Carl Hiaasen, who got it re-published by Alfred A. Knopf. The re-published version was released on August 26, 2003.The book tells the story of a young farm boy named Eragon, who finds a mysterious stone in the mountains. A dragon he later names Saphira hatches from the stone, which was really an egg. When the evil King Galbatorix finds out about Eragon and his dragon, he sends his servants, the Ra'zac, after them in an effort to capture them. Eragon and Saphira are forced to flee from their hometown, and decide to search for the Varden, a group of rebels who want to see the downfall of Galbatorix. For more details refer yo link below.
