The Anti-Federalists were wary of federal power, so they wanted a Bill of Rights to curb that power. They were especially supportive of the 10th amendment, and many of them refused to ratify the constitution until it was approved.
The Anti-Federalists. They didn't think it was right to have rules without rights.
antifederalists
The main agreements between the antifederalist and the federalist were about the bill of rights and the need for a government. The antifederalist demanded to have a bill of rights because it can explain the ideals described in the Declaration of Independence better than the Constitution because the bill of rights gives us freedom of press, freedom of speech, and freedom of religion. Also, the federalist felt like it was important to have a government. They both disagreed. This is right luv
thr right if sufferage is the right to vote. it is important because as the bill of rights states we have a right to a free election so we can vote for who we want it the different offices
The founding fathers didn't really insist on a bill of rights, the antifederalists did. Federalists were people who wanted a strong government, but antifederalists were afraid that if there was a very strong government, the states would be too weak, and that people would lose rights if the government was too powerful. So when the federalists wanted to approve the Constitution, antifederalists said they wouldn't, until the federalists put in a Bill of Rights. So the federalists added the bill of rights, so that the anti-feds would ratify the constitution.
