First, it should be noted that Hitler killed 6 million Jews. The were an additional 5 million non-Jewish victims of the Holocaust and there are numerous civilians who died in World War II without connection to the Holocaust.

As for why he killed those that he killed, please see the Related Questions below.

His rationales for killing them as a multitude are no different as a group than as individuals as set out in the Related Questions below.

In terms of why it has been capped at 6 million, Hitler was not afforded more time to kill any more. Otherwise, it could easily have risen to 8 or 9 million.

The best answer is that Hitler also had non-Aryan's of all sorts killed. He exterminated Africans, Gypsies, Homosexuals, "Mentally Deficients", Catholics, Slavs, etc.

Because he thought Jews were unworthy.

  • He blamed the Jews for causing the defeat of Germany in World War 1.
  • He blamed the Jews for the Great Depression.

Purely because he literally blamed them for all troubles and problems with Germany. He desperately wanted to get rid of them and decided to enforce genocide on them. He nearly succeeded in doing this and probably would have even more if Japan hadn't really screwed up in their war plans.

They wanted a perfect Aryan race, which pretty much means they only wanted people with blonde hair and blue eyes (even though Hitler didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes). Also because they pretty much had no heart.

The purpose was to murder 6 million Jews of Europe and to remove the disabled, gay, and elderly as well as any dissenting people. In 1933 approximately 9.5 million Jews lived in Europe comprising 1.7% of the total European population. This number represents more than 60% of the World's Jewish population at that time of an estimated 15.3 million. The majority of Jews in prewar Europe lived in Eastern Europe. The largest was Poland with about 3,000,000 Jews. In Central Europe the largest Jewish population was in Germany with about 525,000 people and Western Europe the largest population was in Great Britain with 300,000. Before the Nazi seizure in 1933 Europe had a diverse set of Jewish cultures. In less than a decade two out of every three Jews would be dead.

Hitler killed 6 million Jews, not 6 billion and he did it because he hated Jews since he believed they were subhumans and that they were responsible for Germany's problems.
