A capacitor is a device used in most electronic devices to store electric charge in order to keep the system functioning. ∙ 13y agocapacitors are the devices that we use to store electric potential energy.not exactly charge.so once a capacitor is charged it retains the charge for a longer time as the potential difference between plates is absent.so no charges flow.But once we touch it we may get a shock as the charges will tend to flow from the capacitor to the earth through our body.thus giving us a shock.that is the only risk involved in the capacitors.
