The Tide Recedes
The tide recedes, but leaves behind
Bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth
Still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it lingers
On in sweet refrain.
For every joy that passes
Something beautiful remains.
Low tide is when ocean water recedes from the beach. High tide is when the ocean water climbs
A tide that lags behind
When the tide goes out, some of the water is left behind. It is trapped in between the rocks. That forms a tide pool.
A seashore rock pool is a pool of sea water trapped in rock depressions on a seashore while the tide recedes or where water is splashed or sprayed by wave action or storms during high tides and collects in a rocky basin from which it cannot drain.
The best indicator that a tsunami is imminent is when the ocean recedes farther than it would at low tide. The tsunami then comes in a few minutes later, usually appearing as a surge of water. The leading edge may look like a wave, but there is much more water than in an ordinary wave.
An agger is either a high tide which recedes, rises, and then recedes, or a low tide which recedes, rises, and then recedes again.
Low tide is when ocean water recedes from the beach. High tide is when the ocean water climbs
Blondie wrote the tide is high
As men grow older, it is not uncommon that their hairline recedes. The water resedes as low tide starts.
Originally the song 'Tide is high' was sung by The Paragons in 1967, John Holt was the leadsinger of this perfomance. The hit was rediscovered in 1980 and then it became a hit.

The moon exerts a small gravitational pull on the surface of the Earth, as it orbits our planet. This pulls the water of the oceans towards the moon as it passes overhead, creating high tide. The water on the opposite side of the planet recedes, creating low tide.
