King Daithi is my ancestor. He was the last pagan king of Ireland. He ruled from 405AD to 426AD. He, as well as Crimhthan the great Niall of the nine hostages led Iris fleets to raid the Roman Empire. He was known as a great fighter. There is even one story of him slaying 100 men in one battle. He had just been to battle when he was struck dead by lightening as he was riding through the Alps. He is buried under a standing stone called "King Daithi's Stone". They are not sure where he is situated. Some argue he last resting place is in County Roscommon, whist others say he is on the Aran Islands, off the coast of County Galway.
