Who killed L?

Light deviced a perfect plan to kill L by forfeiting the ownership of the death note. He first obtains a second notebook which belonged to his acting girl friend Misa Amane, which in the events of her interogation she forfeits her note book, under a great amount of suffering due to isolation, in which the notebook's ownership was then transfered to Light.

Light then instructs Rem (Misa Amane's shinigami) to give the notebook a powerful or ifluencial group, naming a large company called Yotsuba. In which the attention is diverted to them, after some action paked events in the following episodes L gets his hands on the death note, since Light instructed Riyuk (Light Yagami's Shinigami) to write a fictional rule behind the notebook that states '' if the user of the death note does not write any names in the next 13 days he/she will die'' L then has it transfered to a prisoner which is to be executed. If the 13 day rule proves to be fake then Light and Misa will Fall under suspition again, and the possibility of an execution.

But before that happens Rem wipes out Watari and L with his death note, out of love for Misa in which extends he life and kills Rem in the prosses.
