Humans have been walking since we first appeared on the planet. It is impossible to know who invented walking, but it is believed that walking is an ancient form of human locomotion that evolved over millions of years.
Our ancestors, the Homo genus, began taking their first steps around two million years ago. Early Homo species were much more primitive than modern humans, and they probably used a form of walking that was more akin to a chimpanzee's, with a bent lower back and a bent-legged gait. As Homo species evolved, they developed a more upright posture, which allowed them to walk more efficiently.
Over the course of human evolution, our ancestors gradually developed more efficient methods of locomotion, such as running and sprinting. But walking has always been a core part of our locomotion. In fact, it is believed that walking was the first form of human transportation.
So, while we may never know who invented walking, we can certainly say that it is an ancient form of locomotion that has been with us for millions of years. Walking has enabled humans to explore our world and discover new lands, and it has made possible much of the progress that we have seen over the centuries.
