Records indicate that the La Tercera Crips formed in 1989/1990 from the memberships of three different southwest Houston gangs, the Stafford Hispanics, Latin Crips and Colorz, after a few of the members, including Omar Escobar, Homero Hernandez, Ruben Mollado, who were confined in TYC, decided to unite these allied gangs into one super gang, to battle much larger gangs, including the southwest cholos.
This gang was made up of mostly hispanic members, but also included one White, who records show was named Randall Pritchett, who was incarcerated in 1994, along with several other La Tercera members for Murder and Robbery.
It is not known why they chose to call themselves "Crips"...
