The oil filter is a canister type that is available anywhere it has been used in GM motors for a few years now. If you are under the car you are in the wrong place :) but from there if you see the starter on the drivers side of the motor it is right above that and can only be seen from the top of the motor. You will see a black cap with a 32MM nut on it that takes a special low profile socket to remove. once removed the filter just pops off the housing remimber to replace the O-ring and lubricate it before installing it. The manufacture recommends 18ft pounds of torque when reinstalling.
