I have checked this out and there seems to be no biblical basis that backs up the theory that the seasons will change toward the end.

Seasons are to remain the same right up until the end (Genesis 8:22) You are probably referring to Daniel 2:21 which is a comment about our Father but not a prophecy concerning seasons. There are signs which shall come to pass related to celestial, meteorological and quake related events (Revelation 6 and 9 and 16)
