the stomach acid is made up of hydrochloric acid which kill the bacteria, gastric juices from the lining which contain digestive enzyme pepsin which breaks down the protein molecules into amino acids. the hydrochloric acid allows pepsin to act.
hope this helped...
Stomach acid, hydrochloric acid,is produced by cells in the stomach similar to the way saliva is produced by cells in the mouth. Hydrochloric acid helps digest food and keep the stomach free from infection. if not enough hydrochloric acid is produced, yeast and bacteria can build up in the stomach and cause gas and other stomach problems. It is an extremely acidic environment inside your stomach and the main component is hydrochloric acid or HCl. You can work with this acid directly in the laboratory but it is extremely corrosive, but your stomach lining is essentially a mucus barrier that prevents the acid from eating away at your insides.
Stomach acid, or hydrochloric acid, is made right in the stomach. Because it is so acidic (1.5-2), it can only be present in the stomach which is protected from corrosion. The parietal cells that line the border of the stomach produce hydrogen (H+) and chlorine (Cl-) ions that form HCl.
Stomach acid is mostly hydrochloric acid, which is HCl, so hydrogen and chlorine.
Stomach acid, or hydrochloric acid (HCl), is not an enzyme, because stomach acid is neither a protein nor a catalyst.
Stomach acid is normal. Vomit is normally acid but does not have to be. The stomach acid is a weak solution of hydrochloric acid, HCl.
The stomach secretes hydrochloric acid. The acid is produced by special cells called parietal or oxyntic cells. The pH of stomach acid is between 1 - 2. For more details see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastric_acid
Its called stomach acid.
Gastric acid would reduce the acid in the stomach! :)) ('.') == ==
It does....
stomach acid is and acid
stomach acid is and acid
We have acid in our stomach because the food what goes down our Gullet goes into the stomach and the acid breaks up the food in our stomach to go though to our blood stream.
stomach acid is already in your stomach...
You will have acetic acid in your stomach if you drink vinegar. If you dont, then you wont have. The acid in your stomach is hydrochloric acid.
Stomach acid is a solution of acid, hydrochloric acid to be specific.
Stomach acid is quite strong Hydrochloric Acid
Because your stomach is well lined with mucus producing cells that line the stomach with mucus that keep HCl from digesting the stomach it has been secreted into. When you vomit the mucus come up with the acid to protect, to a degree, you esophagus and mouth. Hydrochloric acid ingested would burn tour mouth and esophagus on the way to your stomach.
The main acid in the stomach to aid in digestion is hydrchloridic acid. Several enzymes are also released.
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) is the acid present in the stomach.
The acid which you may find in your stomach is called hydrochloric acid.
