there is no throttle body on a Chevy 350 running a four barrel carb. please explain. the carb if like my edelbrock has three vacum ports on the front a larger one in the middle for pcv and two smaller ones on each side. either one of these will work and the other should be capped if you do not have another vacum use
Answeruse a spark-ported source. (usually above the throttle body)If you are still having trouble go to the edelbrock web site http://edelbrock.com/ then go to the product support link, then click on tech videos.
There is a complete video list showing on line videos of installing the carb from removal of the old one, installing the new one, and trouble shooting.
will a 4 barrel edelbrock fit both chevy or ford with 4 barrel manifolds
your timing is way off or the timing advance is not working . or your timing chain is so loose it has slipped one tooth or it was put on out of time.
the timing shoujld be 8 degrees BTDC. If your engine has a vacume advance hose running to the distributor than you will have to remove it from the distributor and seal it off before setting the timing.
8 Degrees BTDC. / Before top dead center. Be sure to unhook the vaccum advance on the distributor when setting the timing.
I would think the engine is out of time or the spark plug wires are not installed correctly. Carb is too lean, Common problem with Edelbrock. Buy a primary metering spring kit. Dude, I had this exact same problem. 350 engine and the Edel 4b carb. I was looking every where online for answer's and basically it could be anything from lack of fuel to timing to the advance on the carb. I tried everything, then i pulled off the valve covers and noticed one of the rocker arms wasn't moving. i turned the nut in the center one full turn and booooom it ran like a champ!!!! I bet if u pull the covers that's your problem...
yes, from either jegs or summitt etc. made by edelbrock, and one by holley
i used a holly 500cfm two barrel carb on mine and it worked just as well as a 4 barrel i used a holly 500cfm two barrel carb on mine and it worked just as well as a 4 barrel
It depends, if you get the exact same carburetor, then no, but if say you upgrade from a single barrel carter to a 4 barrel edelbrock then yes, but if you already have a 4-barrel carb and manifold then you may need a adapter which is inexpensive, but you could also get lucky and it may bolt right up.
I would get an Edelbrock performer 4bbl. intake manifold with a Edelbrock 600 CFM. carb, summit racing has everything you need. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holley 650 double pumper for the win!
Yes.
yes
No. Also, Marlin does not sell the barrel for the 882 as a component part. The Model 17 barrel can be installed, but again finding the barrel is a problem. The existing barrel can be relined to .17HMR. sales@countrygunsmith.net
