The Spanish Armada sailed from Lisbon (Portugal) and fought the British mainly in the English Channel : off the coast of Cornwall and Eddystone, the Isle of Portland, Calais, and the coast of Flanders.

The Spanish Armada sailed in 1588 with the idea of picking up the Duke of Parma's army in Holland and invading England. When the Armada anchored in Gravelines (in the North Sea near Holland) to collect the army, the English attacked the Spanish fleet and forced it to flee northwards further into the treacherous North Sea. They then had no choice but to sail right round the north of Scotland and down the other side towards Spain but many of the ships were wrecked by gales. So in answer to the question the answer would seem to be Gravelines.
