The Miller Rubber Manufacturing Co. was started in 1892. They re-incorporated in 1906 as the Miller Rubber Co. The company was bought by B. F. Goodrich in 1930 who split the Miller Co. into the Miller Rubber Co. and Miller Rubber Products. B. F. Goodrich then closed the Miller Rubber Co., and continued running Miller Rubber Products until 1957.
The Miller Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio was absorbed by B. F. Goodrich Company in 1880.

Benjamin Franklin Goodrich. He was an American industrialist in the rubber industry. In 1870 he moved to Akron, Ohio to found the company that still bears his name, BF Goodrich.
In 1892 Jacob Pfeiffer, John Grethner & John Lamparter opened Akron's second rubber co. Then Jacob's brother, William F. Pfeiffer & Harvery Miller joined them on May 1, 1898. The business was then incorporated under the name of Miller Rubber Mfg. Co, which in 1906 was reincorporated as the Miller Rubber Co.

The Goodrich Corporation was formerly B.F. Goodrich Company and was founded in Akron, Ohio in 1870. The tire product line was sold to Michelin in 1988.
