Put some sand on it to increase friction!
Thin layers, it's slippery. Thicker layers form ruts that can throw a car off course. And is slippery. Even thicker layers will bunch up under the car and make it impossible to continue.
Snow and ice covering the road surface cause a reduction in friction between the car tyres and the ground (as you know walking on ice is slippery). This means that the wheels lose traction to propel, stop and steer the car. To overcome this, in countries where the roads ice over in winter, the law requires drivers to change all tyres to "winter" types which have metal studs in them. The metal studs allow the wheels to grip and make it safe to drive.

A snow blower should blow snow about 50 feet n average.
When the highway patrol posts signs say so or whenever there is a blizzard-like snow condition. Better safe than sorry... That is an excellent and true response also,. I had my personal training in such conditions driving in the Maine winters . Not often did I use them but did have them in case.
ABS stops your wheels from locking up when you brake which is very useful when driving in slippery conditions.
A car can roll over when there's something slippery on the road like gasoline or ice and snow.
Snow is slippery.
the best time to use it is in slippery weather... like snow or ice when driving at slow speeds
No, you should not.
Accumulated oil residue from the traffic flow during dry weather becomes wet and moves to the surface of the travelled lanes because oil is lighter than water. This makes the road surface extermely slippery.
No, you should not.
NO
Drive at an appropriate speed to keep grip of wheels on the snow surface. If it's a rear wheel drive be specially cautious.
I believe it has something to do with the large surface area resulting in lower pressure on the snow (or whatever your skiing on, if not snow) so you don't fall into the snow.
because the snow and the ice from the ground get all slushy and melted and then it gets really slippery
Because the small surface area of the heel will cause you to sink into the snow !
