Boys would normally hit puberty at the age of 12 to 15 but statistics have shown that boys that are younger than the expected age have hit puberty. Depending on how healthy you are you will hit puberty at your own time so don't worry about thing hope I answered your question

This process could happen between ages 12-16.

This is a metaphor ! A boys balls do not actually drop when he reaches Puberty !

A boys testes descend shortly after birth. When he reaches Puberty they will start to grow bigger and hang lower from the penis.

Contrary to popular belief, the testicles do not drop during puberty when they start producing sperm. At birth, the testicles are undescended and are in the abdomen. Over the course of the next several months, the balls descend into the scrotum, except for the one percent that have undescended testicles. These are corrected by surgery and are not dangerous unless left untreated.

If you are talking about the physical movement of your testes into your scrotum, then for most boys it occurs before they are born, and is one of the examinations that will occur before he leaves the hospital. If a boy's testes have not dropped into his scrotum by the end of his first year of life, he should be evaluated by his pediatrician, and if they haven't dropped before the second year of life, surgery is needed to bring it down into the scrotum. An undescended testicle will not function and can lead to cancer.

If you are talking about beginning puberty, then the age varies, but anything between 9 and 14 is considered normal for puberty to begin. If you are within this range ther is nothing for you to worry about, and your body will likely progress when it is ready to. There isn't anything you can do to make it any quicker, and there really isn't much you can do to delay it. It is also important to note that even once a boy has begun puberty, different boys progress through the stages of puberty at different rates than others, so again, you have little need to worry. Though if you are worried, and don't feel that you are developing correctly, then I would urge you to see your doctor. They can examine you and tell you where your development is and can inform you if it is appropriate or not.

A boy's testicles usually drop into his scrotum before he is a day old. In fact it is one of the tests the doctor does on the baby before it leaves the hospital. If the baby's testicles have not dropped into the scrotum by the time he is a year old, it needs to be corrected. There are a few techniques to get them into the scrotum, but if they are unsuccessful, they are surgically dragged into the scrotum after the boy is 2 years old.

It is important that the testicles do not stay in the body too long, because it will cause impotence, and can lead to testicular cancer.
