∙ 7y agoBy the time of the Romans the Israelites were not around any more. The Romans did not drive the Jews out of their land. They destroyed Jerusalem during the first Jewish rebellion and the devastated their land during their third rebellion, but they did not drive them out of Judea.

∙ 7y agoThe Romans never expelled the Jews from Judea. Rather, they expelled them from Jerusalem only. Jewish communities continued existing in Judea (Palestine) throughout all of the centuries after that, though during most of that time they were a minority in the land. Those Jews who left the Galilee did so because of harsh conditions, not because of any decree of expulsion. See also:
