Every reputable converter manufacturer will provide that information free of charge.
I would not use a TH350 behind that big block.
TH400 is a must.

You have to turn the torque converter back and forth while pushing in on it. The last thing to engage is the front pump drive lugs. This has to be done before installing the transmission in the car (or bolting it to the engine block) -- the transmission and torque converter are installed as one single assembly after the torque converter is installed into the transmission.

It is between the front of the transmission and the back of the engine block. It slides over a shaft and into the pump on the front of the transmission. Before you remove the transmission to service the torque converter you must remove the 3 bolts that hold the converter to the FLY-WHEEL.

YES As long as the flexplate is the same size or has additional mounting holes. To add to this answer in depth. i changed from a 350 to a 454. the 454 had a th400 transmission and the 350 had a th350 transmission. (This was a 4x4 so we had to use the th350 transmission because it had a married transfer case)the th400 flywheel did NOT match the th350 torque converter. We installed the th400 converter and it fit perfect in the th350 transmission. I would make sure torque converter bolts to flywheel and as well fits into trasmission before attempting to install in vehicle. It is a huge pain to make the swap half way through the install.
