There should be an I.D.tag on the side of the tranny(a small metal plate), or on the door jamb of the truck. If not, you need to go by the vin #.
have the truck on, put the truck on neutral, then switch from 4wd to 2wd
My 1986 GMC High Sierra 1500 stock transmission is a 700R4. My 1986 GMC High Sierra 1500 stock transmission is a 700R4. it could also be a th 400
3500# for a Manual trans. and 2000@ for an automatic
It depends on the truck whether it is 2wd or 4wd. Also you have to factor in the year model of the truck. I have recently had one replace on a 2000 2wd pickup and it was about $2600, that was also a brand new transmission with a 3yr/150,000 mile warranty. You can get them starting about 1800 replaced if 2wd.
2wd and 4wd MANUAL transmission up to 3500 2wd Auto Transmission up to 2000 While the truck is theoritcal capabale of it, even with a 2000lb trailer the lil truck struggles (about 45-50 up a 6% grade in 3rd with 4.6 rear gears)
Most items on both truck are the same. I would say more than 50% of the parts are the same.
4wd or 2wd? If 4wd yes but if 2wd no!
It depends on the type of truck you are looking for, but according to fueleconomy.gov, the top choices are: the Ford Ranger 2WD at 22mpg, the Chevy Silverado 15 Hybrid (2 or 4WD) and the GMC Sierra 15 Hybrid (2 or 4WD) at 20 mpg.
Is a 2wd Dakota truck flat towable
A Silverado C1500 is a 2WD light truck, K1500 is a 4WD light truck. Please clarify what you mean about the r and the v as I am unfamiliar with that coding.
