When marijuana metabolites are inhaled, marijuana is not biologically harmful.

Burning the plant causes incomplete combustion. This creates ammonia, CO, and several other toxic compounds. The particulates in smoke are also harmful.

(This is true for anything that is smoked). Marijuana obtained from 'the streets', does have risks. Street grade marijuana is sold to make people high. Marijuana is highly prone to fungus (which kills the plant), Growers spray their plants with fungicides, as well as insecticides. These are toxic chemicals and are harmful when smoked. Sometimes feral hemp (contains no THC) is sold which has been 'enhanced' using poisons (such as rat poison / bleach) - chemicals which will produce a high. Marijuana is sold by weight. Sellers add things such as lead, glass, sugar, sand, and industrial compounds to increase their profit ('gritted marijuana'). When grown outside, plants are contaminated with insects, insect parts, larvae, bird feces, and fungus (this may be a serious risk to anyone with a compromised immune system). The primary metabolite that causes euphoria is 9 delta THC (THC). In people with epilepsy and other seizure disorders, this will TRIGGER seizures. High THC levels cause seizures (Marijuana extract drugs, such as SAVITEX , are contraindicated in epilepsy).

Parts of the plant, it's fibers, and the root, may be toxic when smoked (this has not been substantiated). See medical marijuana.

Some people believe that marijuana is a 'gateway drug' leading to the use of harder drugs. This has not been found in medical marijuana; 'gateway' recreational use has been debated.

Can you smoke male marijuana plants?

Male Marijuana plants do in fact grow THC. The Male flowers contain THC, but a much smaller amount than the Female flowers. Male plants also produce THC on their leaves, but again, it is a much lower content than from Female leaves. Male plants are rarely harvested as the flowers have a low THC content. Female plants can have as much as 20% THC content on the flowers, while Male may only grow as much as 3% THC content on the flowers. From personal experience, I have harvested a 3 month male marijuana plant, and made cannabutter from all the leaves and flowers. The end result was very disappointing; it wasn't even strong enough to give a high. I think the reasoning for the lower THC content was due to the fact that u harvested the plant when it was only 3 months which means the plant is not at it's full potential for producing THC however you are correct in the matter that male vs female plants which one produces more THC is the female due to the flowers containing more THC and pistols which contain the THC and other cannabinoids which is part of the reason why u should use the female vs the male plant for medical use

What drugs are also in marijuana?

Honestly there are no other drugs in marijuana. Marijuana is just a plant the females produce buds(flowers) and that is the part that is mostly used to smoke. The male plant is what is used to make hemp. There are some people who lace it with other drugs but its not very common. Most people are pretty honest. And if they lace it with something like that they are more than likely trying to get you addicted to a hard drug. That's someone i would avoid in the first place. Marijuana is a very natural herb and is not considered a drug by those who use it and know its uses. Marijuana is also used for medicinal uses.

What is the difference between male and female marijuana?

female marijuana plants produce buds (they are what you want to smoke) and male just try to pollenate the females to produce seeds. if you see a male, cut it down and get it away from any possible females unless you are trying to get a female to produce a lot of seeds for the future...
