Indian cotton farmers live depended on cultivation and sale of cotton and cotton made dresses, If cheaper Nylon (polyester) was imported from the factories in UK, it would benefit the British economy. But the mass Indian population (cotton producers, the weavers of dress) would suffer heavily.
