The main difference is how often they run.

A conditional statement - often an IF - may or may not run. If it does (depending on whether a condition is fulfilled), it runs only once.

A looping statement - often a WHILE or FOR - is designed to repeat, while a certain condition is true.

How are looping statements different from conditional statements?

The former include repetition, the latter don't.

What are the differences between looping structure and conditional structure?

A conditional structure takes out of possible multiple paths given a condition. A looping structure, on the other hand, repeats the same steps while a specific condition is still met. Examples: Conditional: if (x 5) //do action end while

How do you use a C-continue statement in a block- without any looping or conditional statements?

In the C language, the continue statement can only be used within a loop (for, while, or do). Upon execution, control transfers to the beginning of the loop.

What is the difference between Do While statements and Do For statements?

A "do while....." statement is a looping instruction to a program to repeat a stage in the program while some condition is true - e.g while a variable is negative, or, while one variable is less than another. A "do for ....." statement is a looping instruction to a program to repeat a stage in the program a set number of times - e.g for steps = 1 to 10, or, for steps = 1 to (some variable).

What are iterative statements?

An iterative statement is a looping statement, such as a 'for', 'while', or 'do-while' statement. They cause statements to be repeated (iterated) multiple times.

Looping statement in c plus plus?

What is the difference between looping statements - c program?

Repetition. For example the following lines do the same thing: while (expression) statement; LABEL: if (expression) {statement; goto LABEL; } Or these: for (exp1; exp2; exp3) statement; exp1; LABEL: if (exp2) {statement; exp3; goto LABEL; }

Difference between fixed loop and variable loop?

Fixed loop: this is the loop where the number of iterations are known. Variable loop: Here the number of iterations are not known Example for a variable loop. The pseudocode for variable whille loop begin character cchoice display"enter the choice" accept cchoice while(cchoice='y') begin //execute the statements end end Rkarthikeyan
