the bi pap has oxygen added to the air where as the c pap has just compressed room air I am very sorry to have to do this, but the above answer is incorrect. I am fully aware of the function of bi-pap and c-pap systems, as I live with one every night, and have researched the technologies in depth. A c-pap machine provides a constant air pressure to the mask of the wearer, whether they are breathing in or out. A bi-pap machine provides one pressure on inhale (higher pressure) and another (lower pressure) on exhale. Either of these machines can be used with or without oxygen added. Likewise, either machine can be run with added humitity. A c-pap machine is more difficult to get used to than a b-ipap macchine, since you are exhaling against a greater pressure with a c-pap unit. A bi-pap unit senses your breathing, and reduces its pressure as soon as you start exhaling. I use a bi-pap machine, and it is very comfortable to use. I have never been able to get used to a c-pap machine; I can't exhale against the pressure. The main reason why everyone doesn't use a bi-pap machine is the cost - thousands of dollars for a bi-pap machine versus hundreds of dollars for a c-pap machine.

What is decalage on a bi-plane?

Decalage on a fixed wing Biplane aircraft is the angle difference between the upper and lower wings of a fixed wing Biplane aircraft, i.e. the acute angle contained between the chords of the wings in question. The decalage is said to be positive when the upper wing has a higher total angle-of incidence than the lower wing, and negative when its total angle of incidence is lower. Positive decalage results in greater lift from the upper wing than the lower wing, the difference increasing with the amount of decalage.Uncle Fudd

What is the difference between bi level and split level houses?

A true bi level home has 2 ground floors, vertically separated. That is, when one walks in the main entrance, he or she is standing in the lowest level, then must climb a full flight of stairs to reach the top level From the top level, one can then walk straight out to the back yard without having to descend steps (or perhaps a very few steps--too many steps makes the house a colonial) Another name for this style of home is a raised rancher. True bi levels are fairly rare but there is one at this address: 6847 Nashville Rd., Lanham, MD 20706. The distinction between a bi level and a split level house is that the split level has 2, 3, 4 or more levels separated by half flights of steps. Bi levels are often confused with split foyers which have a landing or foyer at the main entrance, from which one must climb half a flight of steps to reach the upper level or descend half a flight to reach the lower level.

What is the difference between catalytic fireplace and noncatalytic fireplace?

In a regular fireplace you burn the fuel, wood, coal, gas or propane, and the byproducts of combustion go up the chimney or out the venting. In a catayltic fireplace those by products go into a catayst that burns at a much higher temperature so it further cumbusts much of the bi-product. The result is increased efficiency and less pollutants and combustion by-products.

My daughter-in-law has just been diagnoised with ALS and and been put on a 'breathing machine" a BI-Pap. I have sleep apnea and us a C-Pap machine at night, what is the difference brtween the two?Gerry CunninghamA C Pap is usually used for mild/moderate sleep apnea. It holds the throat open to prevent it from collapsing during sleep.A Bi Pap has 2 pressures: a stronger one while breathing in, a lesser one during expiration. It's often used for severe obstructive sleep apnea, or for people that have trouble maintaining oxygenation on their own. Hope this helped.
