Yes, you would use step down transformer.
Watts is the big question. Small equipment 12 volts is fine but as the demand or wattage increases 120 volts is better because the amps are less and the cable size is smaller to handle the ampacity.
120 volts is ten times bigger than 12 volts.
As they are both voltages, we could say they are "the same" but only in the sense that "they are both of the same species". It is similar to saying: "A huge bull elephant is the same as a baby elephant.".
But it is not much help to say that kind of thing if what you are trying to do is understand how voltages - and elephants - behave!
If you connect a 1.5 volt device to a 12 volt power supply it will burn out in a short time. Vice- versa will not be successful either.
Yes, you would use step down transformer.
103 V.
No. You need 12 volt AC to run a 12 volt AC motor, not 12 volt DC.
12 volt
It can be done with 90% efficiency.
no
Generally, there will be a 12+ volt rail, a 5+ volt rail and often a 3+ volt rail.
The 12 volt battery has double the electromotive force of the 6 volt. Electromotive force is measured in volts.

12 volts is less of power than 18 volts drill
One is 9 volts and the other is 12 volts. They do not interchange!
lets think ones more powerful than the other......12<18....only my opinion
you can just check it properly... (on every battery volt is surely given...)
They can look the same, so I would take the number from it and have it looked up at a parts store using there BUYERS GUIDE.
connect + to + and - to - and connect the load between the two + and the two -
With a AC to DC converter. You'd need to use a 115 AC to 12 volt DC converter. Connect the wires from the item you want to convert to the 12 volt positive and negative on the front of the converter. Plug the converter into a wall outlet and then turn on the switch on the converter. 115 is going into the converter but 12 volts is coming out and into the item you wanted converted.

The difference is 12.
