Miosis is constriction of the pupil of the eye. It is the normal reaction to an increase in the amount of light entering the eye, but can also be linked to pathological conditions, microwave radiation exposure and certain drugs.

Please see the related question "What is Meiosis?" for information on cell division. Also, see "What is Mitosis?".

Miosis is a conditions of the eye where the pupils of the eye remain abnormally dilated. It can be caused from substance abuse, certain medical conditions such as s stroke or seizure. This is often confused with "meiosis" which is a form of cell division. Meiosis is the processes by which cells divide and produce two exact copies of themselves.
