You will have to pay fines if your car gets impounded for no insurance, registration, and inspection in PA. You will have to registration before the car is released.
I was arrested for having expired registration in Massachusetts. Seriously.
You get arrested
maybe if you use your car to travel, and then the insurance is cancelled they arrest the owner of the car.......
You'll be ticketed for driving with an invalid registration and driving without insurance, and you still owe that money to the bank.
The law differs with each state in the United States in regards to suspended registration plates. In some states a fine is imposed, and in others the persons insurance and registration will not be renewed and the license will be suspended.
Not much in most places. You can not drive it or park it on the street. In some places to re-register it may require a safety inspection.
If the other vehicle was parked, there was no other driver to have license, insurance or registration. The driver who hit the parked vehicle is at fault and is liable for all damages to the parked vehicle.
You have to pay the ticket. And go through inspection.
sounds like Virginia happens to be my state. The sticker on the windshield is for the annual safety inspection only. The date on the registration and date stickers on the licence plates are for state licence tags expiration these are 2 different items. A note: if in Virginia the emissions test is done every 2 years for vehicle tag renewal where emissions are required
If stopped or in an accident they will be arrested and the vehicle will be impounded. This is the only answer I can give you.
I guess she tries to collect from the drunk's insurance or sues the drunk and or the boyfriend. If the drunk has no insurance or money, or the boyfriend has no money I think you have your answer. If she has her own medical insurance, she could probably use that.
There is no grace period for registration in NYC. If the sticker is expired, you will be given a hefty fine if a traffic cop happens to notice (and they do!). You can be fined even if you paid for your registration renewal but have not yet received it in the mail. The sticker has to be valid and properly displayed. And make sure to remove the old sticker. They can actually give you a fine for that, too. If your registration is expired, or about to expire, go to the DMV in Manhattan right away. They will issue your renewal sticker that day. Inspection stickers, however, do not expire on a specific date. You have until the last day of the month indicated on your sticker to have your vehicle pass inspection. Hope this was helpful!
