In the new Hawaii 5-0 (2010-present) actress Michelle Borth played Steve McGarrett's love interest, Catherine Rollins, for the first 4 seasons. During a past deployment to the Middle East, Cat's life was linked with a local family who now desperately needs her help to find/rescue the family's son. She and McGarrett travel to the Afghani town, Steve is captured and rescued, and as he recovers in the hospital, he receives a call from Catherine saying that she will remain and Aloha. That leaves things open for the character to return at a later date depending on the story line.
