I have lived in Abu Dhabi for 6 years now and English is definately spoken in Abu Dhabi, many of the Arabs do understand alot of English. There are many English school that do have Arabs, Indians, Spanish, German, french etc. They all have to be able to speak English to go to the school. There isn't a big population of Americans or Australians in Abu Dhabi though. The majority of people in the English schools in Abu Dhabi are English.
