After you have the Hades Crown and the Trident from Poseidon, use the mirror to travel to the gate of Olympus (lightning bolt symbol at top). Hercules will smash open the lock and you can enter Olympus.

Zeus returns the sacred items to you for safekeeping, and then disappears. Athena awards you the Island Medallion and you can leave Olympus to travel to other islands. Zeus is not seen again. You also keep the Poseidon trident and Hades crown. If you wear the crown, pressing the spacebar makes you grow to giant size. This does not help on any islands, though.
