Do both chloroplasts and mitochondria lack genetic information in the form of DNA?

true :)

What chloroplast and mitochondria contain their own genetic information in form of?

Both chloroplasts and mitochondria have their own sets of chromosomes composed of DNA.

What organelle contains genetic information?

The cell nucleus and the mitochondria contain genetic information in the form of DNA.

What are the energy-producing organelles?

mitochondria and chloroplasts (for plants)

What cell organelles are most closely associated with energy changes in a plant?

the chloroplast and the mitochondria are the organnels closely related to energy production in plants

Do mitochondria and chloroplasts separate form the cell?

Yes,they are not cells. They are cellular organells.

Mitochondria differ from chloroplasts in that mitochondria?

The Mitochondria breaks down glucose to get ATP, while the Chloroplast is in plant cells and is responsible for Glucose production which is often stored in the form of starch.

What does the mitochondria and the chloroplast both do for the cell?

Respiration is conducted by mitochondria.Photosynthesis is conducted by chloroplast.

What are the similarities between mitochondria an chloroplast?

Both mitochondria and chloroplasts are organelles. Mitochondria are used in cellular respiration and chloroplasts are used in photosynthesis. Photosynthesis and cellular respiration are opposite processes. Both are believed to have evolved from a living single celled bacteria that was engulfed by an early form of a plant or animal cell. Therefore, both mitochondria and chloroplasts have their own DNA. Furthermore, they both have free ribosomes. NOTE! they both DO NOT have 2 membranes. chloroplasts have 3 membranes

Do ribosomes produce ATP?

No it is made in the mitochondria and chloroplasts

Compare the functions of chloroplasts and mitochondria?

Mitochondria is where cellular respiration takes place and where most energy in the form of ATP is generated. Chloroplasts convert sunlight energy into chemical energy stored in sugar molecules. Mitochondria uses chemical energy; chloroplasts use light energy.

What organelle's contain DNA and have a double membrane?

In human cells, DNA is found in both the nucleus (in the form of chromatin) and mitochondria. In plant cells, DNA is found in both the nucleus (again, in chromatin),chloroplasts, and mitochondria. Fun fact regarding mitochondria; you inherit only your mother's mitochondria, and consequently, the same mitochondrial DNA. I hope this helps!
