The laws of physics determine the movements of the planets and other bodies in the solar system.
The moving planets tend to move in a straight line but the gravity of the sun pulls them inwards resulting in circular orbital movements around the sun. Since their is no significant friction or other forces t make the planets slow down, their speed is constant and solar gravity is constant, we can predict the motion of the planets with the right mathematical calculations.
Gravity causes objects, like planets, to orbit the Sun.
If the objects are in orbit around the sun then they are in the Solar System.
Our solar system consists of the sun, the planets, their moons, and a variety of smaller objects. The sun is at the center of the solar system, with other orbiting around it. The force of gravity holds the solar system together.

The Sun's Gravity
The gravity of all the planets and the alignment of them.
it is a force called gravity.

Kuiper Belt objects
Sirius is not part of our Solar System, so it is not appropriate to talk about "other objects in the solar system".
