To prevent dry ice burns, wear well insulated gloves, long-sleeved shirts and jackets. Never let dry ice touch your skin; its very cold temperature can damage cause skin burns and frostbites.
Check the link below for proper handling of dry ice ice.
I just touched the dry ice by mistake It causes burning sensation on my hand but i don't know the remedy may be a simple cold cream.
Actually, only dry ice leaves a wound on your finger. It does that because it freezes off the skin cells( but it feels like its burning), leaving a wound. So the lesson is to never touch dry ice because I have, and it hurts.
ice is slippery and dry ice is not because ice dosent dry out when the sun hits it and dry ice does!

Dry ice is solid carbon dioxide (CO2). It is called dry ice because it does not melt when it heats up, it goes directly from solid to gas. It is NOT the same as ordinary ice, which is of course, solid water. Dry ice is much colder than ordinary ice.
Simple. You keep ice in dry ice. But be careful not to eat dry ice!
No, you cannot burn coal over dry ice. Though they say that dry ice "burns" it doesn't really. It is extremely cold, and if you were to touch it, (which I highly advise that you do not do) it would feel like it was burning you. So, you could not actually get coal hot using dry ice.

Dry ice evaporating is endothermic-->+DeltaH A sparkler burning is exothermic--->-DeltaH The reaction that occurs in a chemical cold pack often used to ice athletic injuries is endothermic--->+DeltaH

Gaseous carbon dioxide is released and this gas doesn't support burning.

You don't exactly get burned, your skin freezes. Dry ice is verrry cold and coming in contact with is for even a short time freezes the skin. This kills skin cells in much the same way as burning does

Dry Ice is frozen Carbon Dioxide. It is also the gas that forms the bubbles in soda water and pop, etc. It is commonly used as a cooling agent to prevent perishable goods going bad, especially during transportation.
If a person took dry ice into his mouth, he would kill all the tissue that the dry ice touched, and could possibly die. If you even touch dry ice, it is so cold that it feels like it is burning you. Imagine what it could do to the thin, sensitive tissues in your mouth and throat.
