Decreased proliferation of the epiphyseal plate cartilage
Growth hormone deficiency will cause short stature, aka little person, if untreated or sometimes even if treated. I've read that treatment, taking a shot every night to inject the absent growth hormone, doesn't always work. I've had it since I was born, and treatment seems to be working for me. Many other problems may occur, like dental problems, but I am unsure of them all.
dwarfism
Growth hormone (GH) regulates the body's growth. Patients who lose supply of this hormone before physical maturity will suffer impaired growth. Loss of the hormone can also affect adults.

The formation of specialized cell types during growth is called differentiation
hyposecretion is when not enough (hypo=low) of a certain substance (usually a hormone) is being secreted(released) into the bloodstream etc. For example, a hyposecretion of growth hormone would result in that individual in having pituitary-dwarfism.
This accounts for Growth Hormone Regulatory Hormone, also called Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone, and also GRHF (for Growth Hormone Regulatory Factor). This is one of the two hypothalamic hormones (or previously named 'factors') that, respectively, stimulate or inhibit the release of growth hormone from the pituitary gland. The other hormone that inhibits the release of growth factor is called Growth Hormone Releasing-Inhibiting Hormone (or factor).
In bone formation, a deficiency of growth hormone will cause DECREASED PROLIFERATION OF THE EPIPHYSEAL PLATE CARTILAGE.

The medical term for a growth hormone deficiency is called Hypopituitarism Endocrinology. 1 in 4,000 children born are affected. The growth hormone deficiency can cause a cleft palate, electrolyte imbalances, delayed puberty, obesity that is not from overeating, ear problems, diabetes and joint pain can be possible.
Dwarfism is caused by a deficiency of growth hormone
GHD is an abbreviation for Growth Hormone Deficiency.

Growth hormone is the hormone that stimulates bone and muscle growth. It is made in the pituitary gland. It is also known as somatotropin. Growth hormone is responsible for the increase in height in children and adolescents. It also increases bone density and muscle mass, and stimulates organ growth.
Some estimates show that there are between 10,000 and 15,000 children in the United States who have growth problems due to a deficiency of growth hormone.
Dwarfism occurs for a number of reasons. The most common causes are achondroplasia and growth hormone deficiency. The latter can be treated with exogenous growth hormone.
Human Growth Hormone. HGH
GHD is most commonly the abbreviation for Growth Hormone Deficiency, which results when a person's pituitary gland doesn't produce enough of the Human Growth Hormone.
