The concept of an atom was first proposed by Democritus in the 5th century BCE. But he was ignored until the start of the 19th century that an English chemist named John Dalton again proposed it.
The basic theory was first discussed and proposed by Bernoulli.

In 1911, Rutherford decided to experiment using what was the current theory of atomic structure at the time. Based on his results, he proposed a new theory; that the majority of the atom is empty space, and that all of the positive and most of the mass are contained in a small central region within the atom, which became later known as the nucleus.

the Greek Philosophers did not test their theory.
Niels Bohr proposed the planetary model for the atom.
John Dalton
Rutherford discovered and proposed the theory that every atom consists of Nucleus. electrons revolve around the nucleus in circular orbits. His theory is regarded as Nuclear theory of atomic model. He also proposed the theory of neutrons. James chadwick one of his associates proved that and earned nobel prize

Thomson's discovery of the electron showed that there were things smaller than the atom that could be removed from the atom. Therefor the atom was not an "uncuttable" object as Dalton had proposed.
That sounds like John Dalton; he proposed the modern version of the atomic theory in 1805, though.
Darwin proposed the theory of evolution.evolutionvariationartificial selection
It is untrue. John Dalton proposed the theory that all matter is made up of individual particles called atoms, which cannot be divided.
The basic theory was first discussed and proposed by Bernoulli.
Lynn Margulis first proposed the theory of endosymbiosis.
Niels BohrNiels Bohr proposed the first model of the atom with distinct energy levels with quantized energies. He proposed this theory based on the spectra of atoms and ions.
