∙ 13y agoThe South Pole lies at 90 degrees South Latitude. Vostok Research Station is located at 78°27′51.92″S 106°50′14.38″E, about 1,300 km from the Geographic South Pole.
The 'centre of Antarctica' lies somewhere in between these two named areas, but has not specifically been identified, since the size of the Antarctic continent changes based on the seasonal formation and melting of sea ice around the continent.
