(1) Meaning is in the mind and no two Minds are like: No experience come to us unmediated by our own.our frames of reference, abilities & circumstances. In the process of understanding & solving a communication problem you use the mental resources you have to construct a vision of the situation & a sense of purpose.
(2) The symbols for communicating are imperfect,& So are our best communication Efforts: bypassing occurs when communication are unaware that they are using the same word in different ways.
(3) Communication is about information & Relationships: Communication always involves human relation. it also involves ethics .
Each message is an effort to engage other person, shape their attitudes, & influence their behavior.
