Interphase and Mitosis. During Interphase the cell grows, replicates DNA and prepares to divide. During Mitosis the cell splits into two identical daughter cells. Each equip with the exact same chromosomes.
I've got the same home work packet, http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_are_the_2_main_parts_of_the_cell_cycle_and_what_is_happening_to_the_cell_in_each_stage
During Mitosis
Interphase
From stage of the cell cycle do cells somtimes exit?
DNA is replicated in the Synthesis stage of the cell cycle.
it gets bigger
The shortest stage of the cell cycle is m-phase.
The shortest stage of the cell cycle is m-phase.
During Mitosis
Longest stage of cell cycle would be the interphase
Interphase
From stage of the cell cycle do cells somtimes exit?
The stage of the cell cycle, replication occurs is meosis The stage of the cell cycle, replication occurs is meosis The stage of the cell cycle, replication occurs is meosis The stage of the cell cycle, replication occurs is meosisDNA replication occurs during the S phase of interphase.
The telophase of mitosis (Mitosis is the second stage of the cell cycle)
DNA is replicated in the Synthesis stage of the cell cycle.
it gets bigger
During synthesis stage of the cell cycle
interphase, cell division
