Asia is north of many Oceanian islands and is near the equator. In fact, the equator goes right through it!

==========

Of course you have to that Japan (part of Asia) is made up of several islands, that Russia has several islands that are north of the mainland and that there are Canadian islands that are further north than any Asian islands = plus all the other islands that are north of at least parts of Asia.
