New England and especially the Boston area meteorologists are a tight bunch of professionals who communicate and share during important weather events where safety comes first. Harvey Leonard, Barry Burbank, NOAA, Navy and others also saw what was developing and its likely outcome. The Trepang submarine exited Portsmouth Naval Shipyard during the build-up and was on scene. All these meteorologists shared and discussed the data putting safety first and keeping updated ahead of business/station ratings.
